According to experts, there are 4 groups of people who need to be isolated at home: The first is the person who has contact with a positive patient nCoV: Living in the house, having close contact within two meters, working with the same agency, traveling together. The second is those who come in contact with a suspect person. Thirdly, people have one of the signs of fever, cough, shortness of breath. Fourth, people from the epidemic area within the past 14 days.

Ideally for home isolation, prepare a separate room. If not, arrange an isolated person at a corner and at least 2 meters from everyone in the house. Should choose a room or isolation location at the end of the wind circulation indoors to limit spreading the virus to other locations. Remove all furniture in the room before using for people who need to be isolated. Room with open windows, lots of light.

Furniture to prepare in the room includes beds, furniture, separate toilets with soap, separate towels, toilet paper, paper towels, plastic garbage bags. In the absence of a separate toilet, it is possible to use a shared toilet but disinfect after the patient has finished using the toilet. In addition, bowls, glasses, plates, spoons (or disposable utensils) to eat and drink. Separate towels, medical masks, plastic covered trash. Prepare a television for recreation or isolated toys for young children. Control television, mobile phone in ziplock or plastic bag to disinfect easily.

Outside the room, there should be an empty area for disinfection before going to the common area.

The person in quarantine should absolutely stay in the room during isolation, take medication as directed, and watch for symptoms to get worse or milder. Regularly clean the body to avoid infections, can do gentle exercise in the room.

Caregivers need to prepare disinfectant with 0.5% active chlorine spray into the toilet, protective dressing area, 60-70% alcohol or more to disinfect leather articles, needles species. Soap, clean water and paper to dry hands. Alcohol-based dry hand sanitizer of 60-70 degrees or higher.

In addition, there are goggles, medical gloves, masks, 3M protective clothing with hats, protective boots, Javen 0.5% water to clean floor surfaces and household items, chlorin or chloramin B to disinfect isolation containers, garbage bags ...

What do caregivers need to do?

Relatives need to measure a person's temperature for isolation 2 times a day, ask the health status of the sick or suspected person, encourage and cook with a nutritious diet.

When leaving the isolation room, the caregiver will put on gloves, wash his or her hands with dry hand wash water, and remove the top (outside) layer of gloves. Continue washing your hands after removing gloves. Remove all protective, sterile clothing before removing it from the isolation room. Quarantined clothes should be washed by hands, not by machine. Regularly contact your doctor to report the situation and seek advice.

Finally, if there are no symptoms, family members automatically segregate for at least 14 days from the date the quarantined person completed the quarantine period.
